SymboTalk - AAC Talker

SymboTalk is an app designed to assist individuals who are unable to speak for themselves due to physical or mental conditions such as Autism, Asperger's, Down Syndrome, ALS, apraxia, stroke, and more. This augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system allows users to communicate by clicking on symbols, which are then read aloud and added to a sentence that can also be read.

With SymboTalk, users can create their own symbols or choose from an online library. The app provides 14 predefined boards based on ARASAAC Symbols, translated into 23 languages. Users can also add images to symbols from their camera or files, search for images from a library of over 60,000 images, and record audio for symbols.

The app offers flexible board options, allowing users to build customizable communication boards and sub boards. It also supports offline use and includes features like locking the screen for users who are unable to create their own boards, choosing symbol colors, and creating sub boards.

SymboTalk also offers cloud services, including syncing data across devices, backing up data, and sharing profiles, boards, and symbols with others. Cloud services require a subscription, with a one-month trial period and a price of $0.99 per month.

Supported languages for speaking include Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish. The interface languages of the app are English, Spanish, Chinese, and Hebrew.
